ABOUT
A Legacy of Legal Excellence
My journey into the legal profession began in 1966 when I joined the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in Washington, DC, working in the Technical Division. This early exposure to law sparked my interest in providing legal solutions that protect and serve individuals and families. I further honed my legal skills during my service in the United States Air Force, where I worked at the Andrews Air Force Base Legal Office during the Pueblo Crisis from 1968 to 1969.
After earning my law degree from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1965, I pursued my Master of Laws (LLM) from George Washington University in 1970. I soon became involved with the Chamber of Commerce of the United States in Washington, where I worked on legal matters. In 1971, I established my law practice in Sarasota, and I have remained devoted to serving the community ever since.
Board-Certified Expertise
In 1984, I became board-certified by the Florida Bar, an accomplishment that showcases my deep understanding of the legal aspects of estate planning. This certification, combined with my wealth of experience, has enabled me to provide clients with informed and effective counsel in the areas of wills, trusts, probate, and estate planning. My legal skills have been further recognized by Martindale-Hubbell, which has awarded me its prestigious AV Preeminent rating, the highest recognition given to attorneys for professional excellence and ethical standards.
A Commitment to Client-Centered Legal Services
For over five decades, my commitment to the law has been unwavering. I am passionate about ensuring that families are able to plan for the future with confidence, knowing that their legal affairs are in the hands of a qualified and caring attorney. Whether it’s drafting a will, establishing a trust, or guiding clients through the probate process, I focus on providing clear, understandable, and personalized legal solutions that meet each client's needs.
I am a proud member of the Florida Bar Association and the Sarasota County Bar Association. These memberships keep me connected to the legal community and ensure that I remain up-to-date on the latest developments in law, especially in the areas of estate planning and probate.
